Did I say something about RL settling down? I should know better, or rather I should learn something about speaking too soon…
By way of background, my wife is in hospital right now being treated for pneumonia which developed post-op. The surgery was to remove an infected section of skull that became infected with a resistant staph infection following surgery putting it back in her skull after it was removed to relieve edema of the brain due to the major stroke she suffered in October. Whew, that’s quite a mouthful.
This afternoon I got a call from the hospital that she was being transferred down to the ICU due to a seizure she suffered this afternoon. Not a quick over and done with type seizure either, it went for about 90 seconds. So now we’re not sure what is going on with her. It could be additional infection which hadn’t been detected until now, it could be another stroke, it could be anything. It could be trivial and she’ll be fine again in a few days, or it could be life threatening. No one really knows for sure.
Can we catch a break at some point? Please?
Well it’s probably a good thing that things are looking up in SL because I need that escape more than ever right now…
